Touched
by Robert Burns is a unique publication. It is a fascinating collection of images
and insights to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Scotland's International
Bard. Among the contributors on how Robert Burns has touched on their
lives are Sir Alex Ferguson, Dr Maya Angelou, Eddi Reader, Seamus Heaney and Scotland's
First Minister, Rt Hon Alex Salmond. The articles convey a sense of the
true meaning of Robert Burns, 250 years after his birth. Descriptions range from
the highest ever Burns Supper on Mount Aconcagua to being incarcerated in a Beirut
cell for 6 years. Integrated with these insights, Andy has photographed
lines of Burns' poems that resonate with him. This is an unprecedented visual
interpretation of Burns' poetry, beautifully executed. The launch of the
book takes place at Edinburgh Castle on St Andrew's night, 2008. In line with
Robert Burns' writing on the theme of human rights, the royalties for Touched
by Robert Burns will be donated to UNICEF. Andy would be delighted to
sign, date and personalise any copies that are ordered from this page. Please
